Coolabaroo Neighbourhood Centre – Children’s Day Our Centre will be celebrating Children’s day with morning tea for parents, families, guardians, community and special individuals that work with Coolabaroo. Children will have special activities during the day, with face painting for all. Our Koolangka (children) will Warangka (sing) on the day. Children will receive Children’s Day bags.

Celebrating Aboriginal Torres trait islander children’s day with arts and craft activities, yarning with peers and Elders in line with this years theme “Hear our voice” We have story time and give children an opportunity to write / draw create their own story. A light Lunch will be provided .

We will be celebrating as a centre by doing a variety of experiences with the children throughout the day as seen in your website such as making clapping sticks, nature bracelets, inviting our local politicians to join us, reading stories , cooking damper.

Such as; weaving, language, cooking, arts and crafts

Dianella Secondary College Education Support Centre

Our students will attend an assembly at the Primary School and watch the students perform a song in Noongah and a dance. Our Aboriginal students will host the assembly, lead by our AEIO. Students will then go back to their classes to complete related activities.

Rangeway Primary School

Morning Event: Collaborate and culturally appropriate activities in Kindy and PP classes. Kindy & PP classes visit to local Child Parent Centre for activities in the afternoon.
