The Art Gallery of South Australia is holding a free Children’s Day event on Sunday 4 August from 11am-3pm. Join the art party of the decade, marking ten years of START with a family fun-filled day of art and entertainment for children aged 3-12 years and their families.


Ernabella Anangu School

The school is holding a day in community to celebrate the children of Ernabella. There will be muilti-agency support including the school, Ernabella Arts, CAMHS, Skylight, community patrol and Nganampa Health. There will be a focus on sharing stories in the sand (milpatjunanyi), a collaborative art piece, reading stories with Elders, cooking malu wipu and damper. This is an opportunity for parents to share what they love about their children.

PLAY & LEARN FUN DAY! The Nunga Family Time Playgroup children and their families are going to join together with the Senior Students from the South Australian Aboriginal Sports Training Academy (SAASTA) from the Gawler & District College for a fun time of playing, learning and sharing lunch together.

At Nunga Playgroup on the 6th of August young children and their families will be invited to join in and celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day. They will play games, have face painting and share lunch. Nunga Playgroup is held from 11.30am-1.30pm and transport is available.
