Dubbo – LiveBetter
The early childhood Education and Care Services of Dubbo along with Community are invited to the Rainbow Serpent Picnic, music, dance and loads of fun followed by a picnic lunch.

Kelso – Building Strong Foundations
This will be the fourth year that the BSF team as well as AMIHS and Reference Group committee will be holding Children’s Day. This year’s activities included dancers, traditional games, face-painting, singing songs in Wiradjuri, a colouring-in competition as well as BBQ and CRL footy skills. The event to be held at Kelso Community Hub in Kelso.

Lake Cargelligo – Murrin Bridge Preschool
We will be holding a community BBQ at our preschool with performances by our local school dance group and aboriginal story tellers.

Moruya – Eurobodalla Shire Council
The Council’s children’s services is hosting a free family-friendly event featuring a range of activities including traditional games, dancing and story time, visits from local police, fire fighters and health services. There will be free food and drink. Each child will also receive a Children’s Day bag. The event will be held at the Riverside Park on Thursday 2 August. Bookings are essential.

Newcastle – Awabakal Aboriginal Medical Service
On Thursday 9 August, we will host the 2018 Awabakal Baby Welcoming Ceremony at Fort Scratchley Function Centre. This is the 4th year Awabakal will be welcoming and presenting our beautiful babies to Elders And community.

Nowra – South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation
Holding a Koori Children’s Day at Boori Pre-School. This event will include a Flag Raising ceremony, smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country & dancing, arts & craft, drumbeat, Gunyah arts & craft, face painting, pet therapy, a BBQ lunch and sharing SNAICC Bags with children.

Wyong – The Benevolent Society
This year will be celebrating the day on Tuesday 7 August at Wyong Racecourse. The day will consist of a opening ceremony with our local school showcasing their talents along with Local Aboriginal Organisations hosting tables with craft activities.
