Many thanks for your note with the posters that you dropped off at school for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day. I have put the posters up at school in the entrance corridor and staffroom. I spoke with our before and after school care coordinator and music teacher Jack, and passed a poster across to them as well. They will include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day in their activities next week. At the beginning of the week I emailed all staff and asked whether they could include an activity/lesson in their online learning next week for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day. The Juniors are beginning next week with a discussion and research regarding the basic rights of every child to be safe, healthy, treated fairly, play and learn. We began making slapsticks in our classroom during our time back at school after RL 1.0 and hope to be able to continue this over the next few weeks online. I will document Unit NF’s work and upload images to our virtual gallery on Twitter.
