We want to thank all of our supporters and volunteers for helping us to celebrate Children’s Day, and helping us to pack bags in our cosy SNAICC office in Collingwood, Victoria.
In 2019, volunteers helped us pack 15,000 bags with items such as a weaving bracelet, tattoos, a bandana and a beautiful book Molly the Pig (Moli det Bigibigi) written in Kriol and English, generously donated by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
We would like to thank staff from the following organisations for kindly donating their time to bag the Children’s Day bags in 2019:
- Red Cross Australia
- Save the Children Australia
- Bennelong Foundation
- ViiV Healthcare
- GSK Australia
- Centre for CPM Australia
- Australian Institute of Family Services (AIFS) Humanitarian Leadership
Children’s Day is led by SNAICC – National Voice for our Children. SNAICC is the national non-government peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. We work for the fulfilment of the rights of our children to ensure their safety, development and wellbeing.
