The Event Showcase is a great way to find how other organisations, communities, friends and families are celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day all across Australia!

If you want to better promote your own local event, simply fill out the event registration and let everyone know how you’re going to celebrate our little ones on 4 August.

Burdekin  – Centacare (FNQ) HIPPY Burdekin
HIPPY Burdekin have celebrated the SNAICC Children’s day every year since 2015, with a free sausage sizzle and loads of fun and free activities open to everyone in the Burdekin community. The activities are focused around interactions, for friends and families to enjoy being together. We have face painting, ball games, including a large circus ball and much much more. We will have some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people to share their special talents. We always end the day with a Birthday cake for everyone to celebrate the special birthday. Time for the event will be confirmed closer to the date, however we ensure we hold the time for school aged children and their families to join in.
