The Event Showcase is a great way to find how other organisations, communities, friends and families are celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day all across Australia!
If you want to better promote your own local event, simply fill out the event registration and let everyone know how you’re going to celebrate our little ones on 4 August.
Borroloola -Borroloola Early Years Groups
All of the early learning services in Borroloola will join together at the creche to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s day. There will be a junior disco, face painting, crazy hair, and craft activities
Morning tea and lunch will be provided

Hodgsons Downs – Minyerri Preschool and PlaygroupThis Children’s Day event will invite families of preschool, playgroup and transition school students. Elders will be invited to share their stories. Activities of the day will include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag colouring, story books, face painting, damper making and a sausage sizzle.
Katherine – Roper Gulf Regional Council
Jilkminggan Community will hold a Childrens event including a Jumping Castle. Jilkminggan is located approx 150 from Katherine in a rote area. 403 community members 125 children registered in school Roper Gulf will hold this event from 9am to 1pm . With games prizes and sports events. Photos will be attached once event is done.

We will hold class activities with remote Yolngu students celebrating the successes of Yolngu students from the past 30 years.
