Gail Mabo is our 2018 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day Ambassador!

SNAICC is proud to announce Gail Mabo as the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day 2018 Ambassador.

A proud mother and grandmother, Gail is a multi-disciplinary artist, currently residing in Townsville, whose passion to tell stories, empower community and pride in culture has influenced Australia to see the strengths of Indigenous culture. She continues the work of her father, Eddie Mabo (Koiki) by keeping the connection to culture and connection to country strong.

Gail brings an exciting energy to the 30th anniversary of Children’s Day this year.

We are looking forward to learning from Gail and we thank her for joining us on this journey as the 2018 Children’s Day Ambassador.

I am most proud of our children. They are the future and deserve to fulfil their every dream. ”
